Outcomes, other than those defined specifically for a program or course, can be created. These outcomes may be GenEd (institution internal) or External (e.g. agency defined).
General and external outcomes are managed in Outcome Sets, which in turn are managed in Outcome Groups.
A GenEd or external outcome can be linked to a course and/or field in a program assessment field set. A general outcome can also be included in a Curriculum Map.
You can create one or more Outcome Sets for a selected group. For example, under an external outcome group you might create two sets, "ABET Engineering 2015" and "ABET Computer 2015", within the "ABET" group.
Click the Outcomes link to add or edit the appropriate outcomes to each set.
1.Click Create an Outcome
2.Enter a short Label for the outcome and a description
3.Enter an optional Outcome Code
4.Click Submit
The Outcome Code field is optional and provided to to make it easier to identify the outcome in certain reports.
