Learning Outcomes for each course can be defined. These outcomes are used in the Assessment module (if installed) for outcomes assessment and outcomes mapping.

 

Course outcomes can be added manually or imported. See the Xitracs Data Import Guide.

To Add a Course Outcome

1.Click the Outcomes link for the relevant course

2.Click Create an Outcome

3.Enter a short Label for the outcome and a description

4.Click Submit

 

Use the Edit and Delete link to update or remove an outcome.

 

For systems where the Assessment module is installed and an LMS Connector is enabled, the Create and Edit functions will include an option to include an LMS Name and LMS Key field.

This is to support matching courses and sections in Xitracs to LMS data.

 

Outcomes are active and available for selection by default.

You can set an outcome to inactive by clicking the Edit link. The outcome will remain visible, but can no longer be selected.

Optionally, set an Inactive Date for informational purposes.

Inactive outcomes have an indicator [I] next the outcome label.
