Integration with your D2L Brightspace LMS requires the optional Xitracs feature license.
1.Go to Assessment > Control Panel > LMS Integration > Brightspace
2.Check the Enabled parameter
3.Enter the Server values provided by your Brightspace administrator
Refer to the relevant Knowledge Base (KB) article for addisional information.
Once integration is enabled and depending on the outcome assessment methods configured, teaching faculty using the Xitracs Portal will have the option to align a gradebook column in their Brightspace course with an outcome in Xitracs.

If your Brightspace system provides Course Learning Outcome Evaluation (CLOE) files, you can import this data into Xitracs.
1.Go to Assessment > Control Panel > LMS Integration > Brightspace
2.Click Import a batch assessment data file
3.Select Brightspace Outcomes data in the drop-down
4.Browse for a CLOE file on your local workstation or network drive
5.Enter a Name for the imported file (e.g. Spring 2019) - otherwise the file name will be used
6.Enter an optional Description
7.Click Submit
No outcomes assessment information in Xitracs is updated until a batch is verified and explicitly transferred, (see below).
If the import is successful, you will next see the batch in a list of assessment data batches in Xitracs.
As part of the import operation, the system will attempt to verify information by matching CLOE data such as course sections, semesters and students with information already in Xitracs.
If not all of the imported data can be verified, the Validation column shows the percent of CLOE data verified and which data elements cannot be matched.
Verifying a CLOE batch file
1.Click the Verify link next to a batch
2.Click the Synchronize link next to each unmatched data element (see below)
3.Follow the synchronization instructions selected element The example below is for synchronizing outcome assessment levels, (if required).
Transferring a CLOE batch file
Once all the data elements in a batch file have been verified, the validation percentage changes to 100% and the Transfer link is enabled.
1.Click Transfer
2.Check Lock scores to prevent teaching faculty from changing a score in the Xitracs Portal
3.Select whether missing student assessment data should be ignored or default to a level equivalent to Not met
4.Select whether assessment data should be at a student level or in aggregate
If the Aggregate option is selected, Xitracs will use the imported data to determine the number and percent of students in the course at each outcome assessment level. Individual student scores will not be stored.
Batch Data Results
Once the data has been transferred, click the Results link to generate a graphical view of the information.
This data will have been associated with the respective outcome, course and student. It will also be viewable via the teaching faculty member's Xitracs Portal.
